The National Weather Service Las Vegas reports that "Monsoonal moisture will attempt to push into the region later this week with the best chances for showers and thunderstorms in northwest Arizona." A shortwave from Central California is expected on Wednesday, bringing moisture up the Colorado River Valley into northwest Arizona. This may increase humidity with "precipitable water values around 100% to 125% of normal," and create a 15–30% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms in Mohave County later in the week. The rest of the region will remain mostly clear with temperatures near 100°F, peaking around 105°F by 00Z, as reported by the National Weather Service.
At Harry Reid International Airport, winds will shift from southeast to south-southwest in the afternoon with gusts up to 15–18KT, as "thermally-induced gusts will result in some variability in wind direction," while VFR conditions continue under high clouds around 25,000 feet, according to the National Weather Service.
Southern Nevada, northwest Arizona, and southeast California will see mostly calm conditions, with morning winds shifting south by afternoon and gusts of 15 to 20 KT. "Exceptions to this are across the Western Mojave where winds will maintain more of a westerly component," the National Weather Service said. The Owens Valley is expected to have up-valley winds gusting around 25 KT in the afternoon. After sunset, VFR conditions will continue.
