
A motorcyclist died in a collision on Tuesday at the intersection of West Charleston Boulevard and Monticello Drive in Las Vegas. This marks the 85th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2025.
At around 9:49 PM, a 2009 Ford F-150 driven by 51-year-old Juan Rodriguez Coronado was turning left into a private drive when it failed to yield to an eastbound 2003 Honda CBR 600 motorcycle. The 39-year-old male motorcyclist braked, causing the motorcycle to overturn and slide into the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. Impairment is not considered a factor at this time, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
