
A fatal crash occurred last Tuesday at about 10:32 p.m. at South Decatur Boulevard and Faircenter Drive. Police said a 2023 Ram 1500 veered out of its lane into adjacent and oncoming traffic, leading to a collision that killed one person and injured several others, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Police said a Ram driven by 27-year-old Leeo Mejia first struck a stopped 2022 Nissan Altima before veering into the path of a southbound 2021 Chevrolet Silverado. Mejia was taken to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit, where he later died. The driver of the Nissan, 58-year-old Laura Thomas, and the driver of the Silverado, 32-year-old Jesus Jeronimo, were also taken to the hospital with injuries ranging from minor to claimed, as stated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
A crash involving a Silverado left passengers Chelsey Querol, 34, and two juvenile females, ages 8 and 6 months, injured, though their conditions have not been released. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident is the 96th traffic-related fatality in the city in 2025. The collision remains under investigation.
