In an endearing display of porcine exuberance, local Ozaukee County pigs Oliver and Juliet have been spotted catching the so-called 'zoomies', to the delight of Sheriff Knowles, and bystanders Hannah and Renee, during a spirited visit to the Ploof farm. According to a social media post by the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office, the pigs' energetic antics unfolded during preparations for their debut at the upcoming Ozaukee County Fair.
Not just showcasing their livestock, Savannah and Chase, two diligent members of the Wisconsin 4-H club, are also slated to participate in a variety of additional projects at the fair. Savannah is ambitiously presenting her skills in archery, cake decorating, cats, drawing & painting, fishing, flowers, home environments, legos, photography, scrapbooking, tie dying, and vegetables. Chase, on the other hand, has an unusual affinity for being handcuffed – a quirk that has amused many, and which the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office openly jests, "We hope that gets out of his system at a young age!"
Their spirited efforts and diverse projects capture the essence of the 4-H philosophy: empowering youth to reach their full potential and developing leadership, which was further endorsed by the gratitude expressed by the Ozaukee County Sheriff's Office towards Savannah for sharing her excitement for the annual event. "Thank you to Ozaukee County WI. 4-H member, Savanah, for inviting us to share in her excitement for the Ozaukee County Fair," the post read, hinting at a community firmly bonded by mutual encouragement of its younger generation.
Visitors and residents alike will converge upon the fairgrounds next Wednesday.
