Riverside, CA, has become the scene of a grievous intersection of child endangerment and narcotics trafficking, as revealed by local law enforcement. A couple, Miguel Jacobo, 31, and Alma Dominguez, 34, were arrested on charges of child abuse and drug trafficking, according to a recent press release by the Riverside Police Department, details of which were published by CBS Los Angeles. The Riverside Police Department's Sexual Assault – Child Abuse Unit (SACA) initiated the investigation in May 2025 after suspicions arose that three children were being physically abused by their parents at a residence on the 7900 block of Magnolia Avenue.

Later that month, authorities removed the children from the home and placed them into the temporary care of Riverside County Child Protective Services. Serving a search warrant on July 15, detectives and officers from the METRO Team and Narcotics Unit discovered a large cache of narcotics. "The drugs were found in areas easily accessible to the children, and detectives believe the children were also exposed to the manufacturing and distribution of narcotics," the Riverside Police Department articulated on an Instagram post. Recovered substances included over 900 grams of suspected heroin, more than 300 grams of cocaine, approximately 155 grams of ecstasy, and nearly 200 grams of suspected fentanyl pills, alongside cash and packaging materials.

Both Jacobo and Dominguez were booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center without bail. Jacobo faces multiple felony charges, including but not limited to narcotics violations, child abuse, and child endangerment. Dominguez has been charged with felony child endangerment as well. The case remains active, with investigations ongoing. "This investigation remains ongoing and no further details are available at this time," the department stated in a press release, information of which was disseminated by KTLA.
