
An individual suspected of attempted murder was apprehended in the early hours of Thursday morning, according to a report from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. The suspect, identified as 39-year-old Curtis Deshawn Lowe of Los Angeles, allegedly attacked two people in a residence on Angle Canyon Drive in the Lake Hills area of Riverside.
Authorities were dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call at approximately 2:18 a.m., where they found Lowe along with the victims. One of the victims was able to defend herself during the assault, causing injury to Lowe. The three individuals were subsequently transported to a nearby hospital to receive care for their non-life-threatening injuries. During their investigation, deputies learned that Lowe had strangled and assaulted both victims. He was arrested and booked into Robert Presley Detention Center on two counts of attempted murder.
Lake Mathews Station investigators took over the investigation on-site and are continuing to piece together the circumstances of the assault. As the investigation presses forward, the Sheriff's Department has made an appeal to the public for any information that could shed further light on the case.
