The Sacramento Police Department will host a free career fair at John F. Kennedy High School on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., alongside a charity basketball game supporting the school’s educational program. Public Information Officer Allison Smith said, “This event is a great opportunity for community members and employees to learn more about careers in law enforcement, meet officers, and explore available positions within the police department for free,” according to the City of Sacramento.

Following the career fair, attendees can watch a basketball game between the Sacramento Police Department and the Sacramento Fire Department at the same high school venue. Smith said, “Not only is this a great recruiting event for community members to discover more about the police department, but this also benefits the Criminal Justice Academy at local John F Kennedy Highschool,” as reported by the City of Sacramento.

A basketball game with a $10 entry fee, free for children 10 and under, will raise funds for John F. Kennedy High School’s Criminal Justice Academy. Tickets can be purchased at the door or online through the Sacramento Police Department’s recruiting page @sacpd_recruiting. For more information, contact the Recruiting Unit at (916) 234-6112, as stated by the City of Sacramento.
