According to the National Weather Service, "High pressure far north of the state will strengthen Friday into the weekend with fresh to locally strong trade winds expected by Saturday." A Small Craft Advisory may be issued by Friday for windier waters near Maui County and the Big Island. South shore surf is decreasing, and east-facing shores have small waves. Rough and choppy conditions are expected to develop over the weekend and continue into next week. No advisories are currently in effect.
