Bronzeville Week, Milwaukee's celebration of art, wellness, and community, is continuing with a lineup of events promoting health and culture. Now in its 15th year, this official City of Milwaukee event was hosted by Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs and has become a staple for locals seeking family-friendly activities and a boost to local commerce.
Children had the chance to transform blank canvases into art at the Cool Aid & Canvases event at The King Drive Commons Gallery and Studio, according to a City of Milwaukee release. Later on, fashion enthusiasts could learn about sustainable style with Dr. Adanna's Wardrobe Wellness virtual seminar. Capping off today's events was BronzeHeal, hosted by Allah Mode, offering a space for healing and nourishment rooted in the rich history of Bronzeville.
Coming up tomorrow, August 6, is the Bronzeville Good Neighbor Block Party, promising a day packed with art, games, and free activities. Hosted by Jazales Art Studio, CopyWrite Magazine and Black & White Barbershop, the community-focused block party will take place on Garfield Ave., creating a vibrant atmosphere for families and friends to enjoy.
Further exploring the district's growth, "20 Years of Building Bronzeville" will offer a panel discussion featuring local developers, set to take place at Rise and Grind Café, as mentioned on the City of Milwaukee release.
