Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance following a shooting incident on a busy Glendora freeway. According to NBC Los Angeles, the episode unfolded at 10:25 p.m. this past Wednesday on the 57 Freeway near the intersection with the 210 Freeway. The victim's car, when found by the California Highway Patrol (CHP), revealed the chilling remnants of the encounter—a bullet hole in the right rear passenger door, coupled with a spent round lurking in the passenger-side compartment.
As pieced together by investigators, the shooter was driving a silver sedan and was spotted wearing a stark white hat. Although driving at the time, the suspect managed to unleash at least one gunshot from behind the wheel, firing at another vehicle. While the danger posed by the errant bullet was all too real, authorities, fortunately, have not reported any injuries.
The incident was succinctly detailed in a social media alert by the CHP Baldwin Park office. "On July 30, 2025, at approximately 10:23 P.M., an incident of highway violence occurred on State Route 57 northbound, just south of Interstate 210," reads the Instagram post. The driver suspected of discharging the firearm remains unidentified, and the motive behind the aggression continues to evade explanation.
Witnesses who might have observed the incident, or anyone with relevant information, have been urged to reach out. Dialing the CHP Baldwin Park office at 626-517-8500 could provide the lead necessary to close this unsettling chapter of freeway unpredictability.
