According to a Los Angeles Fire Department alert, the incident, designated as INC#0528, was reported at 9:18 AM at 4187 S Compton Avenue. The one-story commercial building, spanning about 50 feet by 50 feet, was emitting light smoke from the rear eaves when the LAFD arrived on scene.

Working with focus, in a building complicated by its structure, the fire was knocked down in 33 minutes—a testament to the precision and skill of the LAFD. "All occupants were confirmed safely out of the building, with no injuries reported," as stated by the LAFD.
As the situation stabilized, firefighters remained at the scene to conduct overhaul operations, ensuring that the scene was safe and no hidden fire pockets remained. The cooperation between the LAFD and LAPD, under incident number LAPD INC#1711, further underlined the coordinated response to such emergencies in the area.
