A Lake Los Angeles man is facing life in prison following charges for a triple murder in the Antelope Valley region. Axel Trevino, 32, was charged with the killing of two men and a woman, with the District Attorney's Office saying the incident happened in broad daylight, according to an official statement released.
On August 17, in the unincorporated area of Northeast Antelope Valley, Trevino is alleged to have executed a violent attack. Stopping adjacent to an SUV that was parked and had two male occupants, Trevino reportedly opened fire multiple times. Found dead alongside another car, the female driver suffered several gunshots while being parked at 215th Street East and Avenue Q. "All members of our community, in any part of our county, rural or urban, should feel protected from this kind of deadly violence," District Attorney Nathan J. Hochman emphasized, as stated by the LA District Attorney's Office.
The defendant was arrested on Tuesday and is being held without bail, as per the LA District Attorney's Office. Charged under case number 25AVCF01436, Trevino, born November 2, 1992, is accused of three counts of murder with special allegations for intentional discharge of a firearm during a specific crime and the special circumstance of multiple murders. His arraignment took place in the Antelope Valley Courthouse. The prosecution is led by Deputy District Attorney Keri Knittel of the Antelope Valley Branch. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department conducted the investigation.
