The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that the pedestrian involved in a July 27 hit-and-run has died from her injuries. The 58-year-old woman, who was using a wheelchair and pushing a shopping cart, was struck by an SUV and later died at UMC Hospital. This marks the 105th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas this year. The incident, first reported as a critical injury collision, is still under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Collision Investigation Section.

The initial press release stated that the collision happened at about 4:01 a.m. at the intersection of Bonanza Road and City Parkway. A 2013–2017 Nissan Pathfinder was traveling west on Bonanza Road when it struck a pedestrian who was crossing in a marked crosswalk. The pedestrian crossed while the "don't walk" signal was displayed. The driver did not stop and left the scene, heading north on Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help to find the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run. Witnesses or anyone with information can contact the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section or Crime Stoppers, where tips may be eligible for cash rewards if they lead to a felony arrest or indictment. Police are reviewing surveillance footage and witness reports as the investigation continues.
