A tragic incident on East Baltimore Street and Frank Street has pushed the number of traffic-related deaths to a grim milestone in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction. According to an LVMPD report published today, the collision between an E-bike and a vehicle resulted in the death of the bicyclist last Saturday, marking the 100th fatality of its kind this year.

The crash involved a Montta All-Terrain E-bike, which was being ridden northbound, and a 2023 Chevrolet 3500 traveling eastbound. It is reported that the E-bike rider failed to properly adhere to a posted stop sign, entering the intersection to fatally strike the side of the Chevrolet. This impact caused the victim to then collide with a parked 2007 Toyota Camry.

The 40 to 50-year-old male rider, whose identity is yet to be released, was rushed to UMC Trauma, where he was pronounced dead despite efforts to save him. The Chevrolet driver, Alberto Carrillo Jr., 40, of Las Vegas, was not injured in the accident and showed no signs of impairment at the scene.
