Clark County has officially opened its latest fire station with a unique hose-cutting ceremony, as announced in a social media post by @ClarkCountyFD. The new Fire Station #39, situated near Blue Diamond and Rainbow in the southwest Las Vegas Valley, is prepared to serve the community with one engine and one rescue unit.

The grand opening, which took place this past Saturday, invited residents to not only witness the cutting of a fire hose in place of a traditional ribbon but also to thoroughly engage with their local fire service providers. According to News3LV, the day kicked off at 9 a.m. and was followed up by a complimentary pancake breakfast and an array of family-friendly activities like craft projects and a dunk tank that featured County Commissioner Justin Jones and the fire chief themselves.

The station anticipates to rapidly become a cornerstone for safety in the area, responding to an estimated 2,000-3,000 calls for service each year. Clark County Fire Chief Billy Samuels underscored the importance of the station, saying "It’s essential that Clark County Fire keeps pace with the Valley’s expansion, and Station 39 will help us meet the needs of the community," in a statement obtained by News3LV.

Spanning from Robindale Rd. to Cactus Ave., and Fort Apache Rd. to Decatur Blvd., the new facility represents not only a $12 million investment in infrastructure but also a commitment to the well-being of Las Vegas Valley families. “With thousands of emergency calls expected annually, this station means critical minutes saved when lives are on the line for those near Blue Diamond Road and Rainbow Boulevard. That’s not just infrastructure—it’s peace of mind built into our community,” Commissioner Jones told News3LV.
