A shooting in Wake County yesterday afternoon left one man hospitalized and damaged several homes and vehicles in a neighborhood off Poole Road, east of Raleigh. According to CBS17, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office responded around 2:50 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 3300 block of Moonglow Drive, near the Neuse River.
Deputies found a man with a gunshot wound. His injuries were described as non-life-threatening, and he was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The Sheriff’s Office reported that the scene remained active into late Sunday afternoon.
WRAL News interviewed resident Regine Lopez, who said she returned home after receiving an urgent call and later discovered a bullet hole in her truck. She also recalled hearing that a neighbor had been shot. Lopez expressed concern over repeated incidents of violence in the neighborhood.
The identity of the victim has not been released, though his condition is expected to stabilize. The investigation is ongoing, according to abc11.
