The local community and visitors alike can look forward to the Arlington County Fair, a staple of summer excitement and tradition, scheduled to run from August 13 to 17, 2025. In a recent post on social media, the Arlington County, VA Sheriff's Office announced that they will be participating in the fair, inviting everyone to join the festivities and explore their booth at the Indoor Vendor Hall. The Sheriff's Office promises an opportunity for attendees to "Meet our leadership and deputies" along with a chance to interact with their K9 teams.
For those eager to delve into the various aspects of law enforcement and community services, the Sheriff's office will provide insights into its programs. The indoor booth, opening its doors at 4 p.m. and stretching its hospitality till 10 p.m. on Friday, August 15, will also feature "fun activities for all ages," according to the sheriff's Facebook page. On Saturday, the booth will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., followed by Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., offering ample time for anyone keen on learning more about the department while relishing the fair's diverse offerings.
The fun doesn't stop indoors, as the fairground extends its arms to welcome visitors for outdoor activities starting at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, August 13. Attendees can enjoy the fair's various attractions, games, and food until 10:30 p.m. that evening, with similar hours on Thursday. Friday and Saturday offer extended hours, from early afternoon until half past ten in the evening, and the fair concludes on Sunday, August 17, with activities running from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., as highlighted by the Sheriff's Office social media post.
Marking its presence at the fair serves as a community outreach initiative for the Sheriff's Office, aiming to foster a stronger connection with citizens in a relaxed and festive environment. Beyond the badge and uniform, deputies and K9 partners become part of the larger fair mosaic, engaging with the public beyond the confines of duty and order. "Come learn more about your Sheriff’s Office while enjoying all the fun of the fair," beckons the social media invitation, symbolizing a bridge built between law enforcement and the people they serve, embedded within the festive spirit of the fair.
