Tonight, the chance of precipitation rises to 60%, as showers and possible thunderstorms are forecasted before 8pm, following by likely showers and a potential thunderstorm between 8pm and 11pm, with additional chances of showers and thunderstorms lasting past 11pm. The overnight low is expected to hover around 70 degrees. South winds will continue at 5 to 10 mph with new rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possibly.
Moving into tomorrow, the area will see a decrease to a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before the early afternoon. Clouds in the morning are expected to give way to gradually clearing skies, leading to a sunny afternoon with temperatures climbing near a warm 88 degrees. The current forecast continues to show warmth with mostly clear conditions tomorrow night and a low around 74 degrees.
As the weekend approaches, Saturday heats up as temperatures are projected to reach a high near 91 degrees under mostly sunny conditions. However, Saturday night brings back a chance of showers and thunderstorms, with an accompanying low around 72 degrees. Sunday's weather pattern similarly includes a chance of showers with the possibility of thunderstorms after 1 pm, and a high near 84 degrees. "A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms" is noted for Sunday night by NWS, with mostly cloudy conditions and a low around 70 degrees.
The Hazardous Weather Outlook released by the National Weather Service warns of a few stronger storms potentially occurring this afternoon and evening, alongside locally heavy rainfall. Looking ahead, thunderstorm chances will persist through early next week with afternoon heat indices possibly reaching into the mid to upper 90s tomorrow and Saturday. The Outlook, which covers east central, south central, and southeast Wisconsin, does not anticipate the need for spotter activation at this time.
