The pattern of slightly milder nights and variably sunny days continues through the boroughs, as the similar forecasts for Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island state.
Looking ahead to Friday and over the weekend, the forecasts indicate mostly sunny conditions with daytime highs ranging from the mid-80s on Staten Island to 91 degrees on Sunday in Manhattan. The temperature is anticipated to cool slightly as the new week begins, with an expected high near the low-80s by Tuesday. Staten Island, which frequently experiences more divergent weather effects due to its geography, shows a high near 85 degrees today with a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, a detail notably higher than its neighboring boroughs.
In line with these forecasts, the National Weather Service, in their Hazardous Weather Outlook for New York City, has not indicated any severe weather events that would meet their warning criteria within the next week. The outlook applies to southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey, and southeast New York, including all five boroughs of New York City. For days one through seven, "No hazardous weather is expected at this time," affirming a relatively stable week ahead for residents.
No significant weather disruptions are forecasted, but showers and thunderstorms remain in the outlook. The week is expected to bring partly to mostly sunny days, occasional rain, and nighttime temperatures in the lower 70s.
