
Residents across New York City's five boroughs can expect continued warm temperatures and hazy conditions throughout the week, according to multiple National Weather Service (NWS) forecasts. Manhattan is predicted to be the warmest, with temperatures reaching up to 91 degrees today, while Staten Island will be slightly cooler, with a high around 87 degrees. All boroughs are likely to experience widespread haze before midnight, followed by mostly sunny skies over the coming days.
In Brooklyn, temperatures are forecasted to climb as high as 89 degrees today with light winds shifting southeast, while Queens expects a similar high. The evening will bring slightly cooler weather, dropping to around 70 across the boroughs. The Bronx will enjoy mostly sunny skies and a high near 90, followed by a partly cloudy night with lows settling near 70. According to the NWS forecast for Manhattan, a light and variable wind is set to become north around 6 mph in the morning.
The outlook for the upcoming week remains consistent with temperatures hovering in the low to mid-80s, presenting a slight drop in the latter part of the week. The NWS forecast for Brooklyn indicates a high near 87 degrees for Tuesday, while Queens is looking at a high of 88 degrees. Statistically similar conditions are expected in The Bronx and Staten Island, with highs of 89 and 86 degrees, respectively, on Tuesday.
Despite the persistent haze and warmth, the NWS has not issued any hazardous weather warnings for the area. "No hazardous weather is expected at this time that would meet NWS warning criteria," states the Hazardous Weather Outlook for New York City. Spotter activation, often used to report severe weather conditions, is also not anticipated in the coming days. As the week progresses, nighttime lows are expected to dip into the high 60s.
