In a late-night operation that most residents likely missed, the North Las Vegas Police Department conducted what they're describing as a proactive investigation, resulting in a noteworthy bust. Officers Le Starge and Robledo, during their night shift, managed to snag a suspect who is now facing several charges, including possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of an illegal firearm.
According to a social media post from the NLVPD, the arrested individual wasn't just carrying any firearm; they were caught with a non-serialized (ghost) gun, a type of weapon that, due to their lack of traceable serial numbers, has become a significant concern for law enforcement agencies nationwide.
The NLVPD has been vocal about their stance on such contraband. "Unlawfully possessed firearms and narcotics have no place in our community," the department declared in the NLVPD Facebook page.
