The Raleigh Youth Council (RYC) has kicked off its 2025-2026 calendar year, and they're calling for high school students with a drive to shape their community and polish their leadership skills. The RYC is an open forum where the voices of teens aren't just heard but are considered critical to the welfare of Wake County.
According to City of Raleigh's recent announcement, the RYC isn't just a platform for advocacy; it's a hub for teenagers looking to engage in community service and leadership roles. Students will have the chance to collaborate on recreational outings and attend significant events like the Youth Legislative Assembly and State Youth Council Conferences—opportunities aimed to amplify teen influence on local matters.
The Raleigh Youth Council (RYC) is inviting all high school students in the Raleigh area to attend their upcoming meetings. Participation is free and open to any teenager interested in community involvement or volunteer opportunities.
Meetings take place on the second and fourth Monday of each month at the Kiwanis Neighborhood Center, 2525 Noble Rd., Raleigh, NC 27608, from 7 to 8 p.m. More information is available on the City of Raleigh's website.
