A quiet Sunday morning in Redondo Beach was shattered when two residents were bound and robbed in their own home by intruders from New York. As reported by KTLA, the Redondo Beach Police Department received an emergency call around 5:52 a.m. about a suspect brandishing a firearm at someone in a vehicle on the 1900 block of Mathews Avenue, though the caller disconnected before specifying a location.

Officers arrived in the area and canvassed the neighborhood, during which they were alerted to the home invasion. Two residents had been bound with zip-ties for over two hours during the burglary, according to unconfirmed reports by Traffic News Los Angeles obtained by KTLA. After the suspects fled on foot, police gave chase and apprehended them. First responders attended to the victims, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, with one subsequently transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
