Issaquah Police officers arrested a 39-year-old Seattle man found asleep in a car with no license plates. The vehicle’s interior had items, including burnt foil, that indicated recent drug use, as reported by the Issaquah Police Department.
Police intervened when a man woke up and tried to start his car. They observed signs of impairment, including slurred speech, slow responses, clammy skin, and red eyes. The man admitted to using fentanyl earlier that day. During a search, officers found drug paraphernalia and other evidence in the vehicle. He was arrested for being in physical control of a vehicle while impaired, as stated by the Issaquah Police Department.
According to the Issaquah Police Department on their Facebook page, they warned about the dangers of impaired driving, saying, "This is another reminder of how dangerous impaired driving can be, even when the car isn't moving." Working with the King County Target Zero Coalition, the department continues efforts to keep roads safe.
