New Yorkers are preparing to bask in the glow of what is forecasted to be a stretch of sunny days despite a potential for scattered thunderstorms in the middle of the week. According to the National Weather Service, residents in Manhattan can expect-a "Sunny, with a high near 91" for today, with similar conditions predicted across the other boroughs. Meanwhile, tonight's forecast indicates "Mostly clear, with a low around 74."
As the week progresses, Wednesday may bring a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. across the boroughs, a slight departure from the otherwise sunny weather. The forecast for Manhattan suggests a partly sunny day with a high near 90, whereas Brooklyn looks to mirror these conditions with a high near 87. Queens may see similar weather, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after the same hour. "Partly sunny, with a high near 89," Brooklyn's forecast matches that of The Bronx, but with more emphasis on the likelihood of thunderstorms.
The National Weather Service's Hazardous Weather Outlook, however, suggests peace of mind for city dwellers as "no hazardous weather is expected at this time" that meets NWS warning criteria. "This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Atlantic coastal waters, southern Connecticut, northeast New Jersey and southeast New York," adding a layer of assurance that the upcoming weather should not severely disrupt routines.
Looking ahead to the latter part of the week, the forecast indicates mostly sunny skies. "Sunny, with a high near 91," details for Staten Island on Sunday indicate that all boroughs are to expect comfortably warm weather.
