The National Weather Service has released detailed forecasts for various regions of New York City, indicating mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures in the coming days. Manhattan is forecast to reach highs in the mid-80s today, with clear skies continuing into the night and overnight lows dipping into the mid-60s. Likewise, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, and Staten Island can expect mostly pleasant weather throughout the week, with only a slight chance of showers on a few days, primarily in the mornings, according to the NWS.
The forecast for later in the week indicates a consistent pattern of partly sunny skies and moderate temperatures across the boroughs. While subject to change, current models show general agreement on this expected trend continuing in the days ahead. Daytime temperatures are projected to range from the upper 70s to low 80s, with nighttime lows in the low to mid-60s.
Amidst this gentle weather, the National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook alerting to a high rip current risk through this evening for parts of southeast New York, including Southern Queens and Southern Nassau.
No hazardous weather meeting National Weather Service warning criteria is expected from Tuesday through Sunday. Coastal waters over the Atlantic are also currently free of hazardous conditions, permitting maritime activities to continue under generally stable and monitored conditions.
