
Hunters looking to aim their sights on Wisconsin's Sandhill State Wildlife Area's deer population now have their chance as the Department of Natural Resources opens up applications for a two-day special firearm hunt, designed to manage the local deer numbers effectively. The application period, open from now until September 22, is part of a strategy to keep the wildlife area's deer population in check, providing hunters with either an either-sex permit or an antlerless-only permit to be used over November 8-9, as reported by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.
