Early this morning, firefighters battled a blaze at a single-story residence in Echo Park, which displayed heavy smoke and signs of an attic fire upon their arrival. According to a Los Angeles Fire Department alert, the incident, logged as INC#0339, was reported at approximately 5:39 AM at 1002 N Everett St. Fire crews aggressively attacked the fire, entering the premises in offensive mode to tackle the emerging threat.
The situation was updated when a second LAFD alert indicated that the structure involved was actually an ascending hillside home, with the fire originating on the first floor and extending to the attic. A total of 40 firefighters worked together to locate and extinguish the blaze in 27 minutes, a testament to the speed and precision of the response teams.
