The Levitt Pavilion in downtown Arlington is wrapping up its concert season with a flourish of free live music and cultural celebrations that promise to light up your October evenings like your favorite jack-o'-lantern. The lineup, which includes tributes, festivals, and big-name headliners, kicks off with a dose of nostalgia featuring Hard Nights Day, a Beatles tribute band, on Friday, according to the City of Arlington.
The 90s make a comeback with Do Good Fest Texas, which is kind of like that mixtape you wish you could still play in your old boombox, if you remember those. Set for October 18 with a $10 admission that goes to the Tarrant Area Food Bank, it's a chance to vibe to the tunes of Collective Soul, Fastball, and Tonic. Remember, sealed water bottles can be your concert buddy, but leave the snacks and drinks at home.
For those who revel in variety, October 4th's Hispanic Heritage Celebration promises to be "una fiesta grande," according to Letatia Teykl, the Levitt's executive director. Expect salsa dancing, mouth-watering food trucks, and Grammy-winning tunes from Little Joe y La Familia. But the festivities at Levitt don't end there, with the Asian Heritage Celebration on October 11th showcasing over 30 cultures through dance, music, and a good old-fashioned lion dance.
Country music enthusiasts get a treat on October 10 when Dalton Domino takes the stage, bringing his own brand of storytelling through song. The Levitt will also host a toy drive during this performance, so bring an unwrapped toy—a simple gesture that spreads more cheer than your childhood Spirograph. The Men Serving God event offers a free BBQ and live music alongside the opportunity to connect with local volunteer organizations on October 21st.
"October will be filled with outstanding live music, community connection, and plenty of fun," said Teykl, per the City of Arlington. Whether you're a fan of Micky & The Motorcars, who are bringing their “Texas Red Dirt” sound on October 17, or the all-woman string band Homebody, there's a beat for everyone at Levitt this fall.
