
Over a dozen people were arrested in South Lake Tahoe and nearby areas during Operation Daisy Cutter, a law enforcement effort targeting gang members connected to drug cartels. Authorities served several search warrants, and suspects were charged with selling cocaine, fentanyl, ketamine, and possessing illegal firearms, according to KCRA.
A law enforcement operation in California and Nevada led to arrests of people aged 20 to 61, including Jaxon Babson, Dakota Bertram, and Carlos Estrada from South Lake Tahoe, as per FOX40. Some arrested were previously deported and linked to motorcycle gangs and drug overdoses. Authorities said alleged Norteño gang leaders and associates were recruiting middle and high school students for drug distribution and may have been exploiting underage girls, as reported by KCRA.
Authorities said multiple people were arrested in connection with drug and arms trafficking as part of Operation Daisy Cutter. Several warrants are still active and will be carried out in the coming weeks. The operation involves local sheriffs’ departments, Reno Police, the ATF, FBI, Homeland Security Investigations, and the California Department of Corrections, targeting cartel-backed gangs in Northern California and Nevada.
