The jump in tourism dollars has been a boon to the local economy, fueling jobs, wages, and tax revenue, and highlights the enduring appeal of the county's attractions and amenities to both domestic and international travelers.

Behind this surge lay the direct employment of more than 690 individuals by the travel and tourism sector in the county, and it doesn't stop there, the industry's total payroll was reported to be $25.21 million which contributes not just to the livelihoods of many but also to the economic vigor of the region, "Our team is thrilled to see the increase in visitors as we continue to support Chatham County’s tourism and hospitality industry, our guests, plus our film production and sporting events," Neha Shah, director of the Pittsboro-Siler City Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), told the Chatham County's news service.

Tax revenue is also seeing a significant uptick due to the tourism boom, with state tax revenue generated in Chatham County totaling $3.5 million, while about $3.15 million in local taxes were generated from businesses benefiting from the influx of tourists.
