Early Thursday morning, a Santa Ana apartment complex became the scene of a critical fire that resulted in over two dozen residents being displaced, and two suffering burn injuries after a blaze engulfed parts of the building. According to KTLA, the fire broke out at approximately 2 a.m. and quickly escalated within a two-story complex located on the 2800 block of North Bristol Street. The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) promptly responded to the emergency and found that two upstairs units were already heavily aflame, with the risk of the fire spreading looming large.

Firefighters, seasoned in the chaos of disaster, launched an aggressive assault on the inferno—directing their efforts at the flames threatening to consume everything, while remaining vigilant for any signs of life amid the smoke and ash. "During the search, firefighters found two bunnies alive inside and safely reunited them with their grateful family," as outlined by KTLA.
The OCFA managed to confine the fire to the initial units, likely preventing a far greater disaster. Even so, 14 adults and nine minors were left displaced, forced from their homes in the dark hours of the night. Furthermore, as chronicled by CBS Los Angeles, two residents were treated for their injuries on-site before being transported to the hospital to receive further medical attention. The origin of the fire remains under investigation.
