Four men have been charged after a police chase involving a stolen car ended in a crash and foot pursuit in Rochester Hills. The incident began around 6 a.m. last Thursday when deputies responded to a vehicle break-in report, as covered by FOX 2 Detroit. The suspects attempted to evade police but eventually crashed near Livernois and Avon roads. All suspects fled on foot but were swiftly apprehended with help from K9 units and drones.

Oakland County Sheriff Mike Bouchard lauded the collaborative efforts of the responding teams. "This case is an excellent example of teamwork and the use of our specialized resources to protect the community," Bouchard said in a statement obtained by Mid Michigan Now. The defendants include Dayvion Young, Myles Pringle, Tyron Renfro, and Jaden Franklin, whose charges range from resisting and obstructing a police officer to stealing or retaining a financial transaction device.

The suspects allegedly began their spree by attempting to break into parked vehicles on the 1500 block of Pembroke, as noted in the Country Herald report. Following the pursuit, Franklin is being held on a $5,000 cash or surety bond, while Renfro's bond is set at $25,000. Young and another suspect, Myles Alexander Price, also face charges with bonds set at $5,000.

According to officials, a probable cause conference for the suspects is scheduled for September 8. The investigation is ongoing under the direction of detectives from the Oakland County Sheriff's Office Auto Theft Unit and the Rochester Hills Substation.
