In an effort to keep the roads of Harris County safer, deputies have taken a repeat intoxicated driver off the streets. The incident occurred on the evening of September 6, 2025, when authorities from Constable Mark Herman's Office stopped a vehicle in the 1700 block of N Sam Houston Parkway West, according to a post from the Harris County Constable Precinct 4's official Facebook page.
The motorist in question was Everett Williams, who upon being pulled over by deputies, exhibited clear signs of drunkenness. Deputies conducted Standardized Field Sobriety Tests which verified their suspicions, showing Williams had a blood alcohol content of .120, significantly above the Texas legal limit of .08, as reported by the Harris County Constable Precinct 4.
"Everett Williams was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for Driving While Intoxicated," Constable Mark Herman stated. His bond was set at $1,500.00 out of County Court 04," the Harris County Constable Precinct 4 reported. The recurrence of such incidents underscores the ongoing challenges that law enforcement faces in deterring repeat DUI offenses, despite the serious penalties and the widespread public awareness campaigns.
