
A scene unfolded in Pontiac, Michigan on Monday when a motorcyclist collided with a car, leaving both drivers injured. The incident, which occurred near the intersection of Huron Street (M-59) and Chippewa Street around 5 p.m., resulted in a 31-year-old man being thrown from his bike and critically injured. ClickOnDetroit reported that the driver of the Buick Regal was making a turn onto Chippewa Street when they entered the path of the eastbound motorcycle.
According to CBS Detroit, the motorcyclist, who was riding a 2005 Suzuki GSX, sustained severe injuries and, as of yesterday, remained in critical condition at McLaren Oakland Hospital. The car driver, a 54-year-old from Pontiac, sustained injuries described as non-life threatening in the same hospital. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit, in collaboration with the Sheriff's Office Drone Unit, are piecing together the details of this event.
As the investigation remains ongoing, authorities have not yet determined whether any charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
