The Los Angeles Police Department is currently on the lookout for two suspects involved in a hit-and-run incident that resulted in the death of a 35-year-old motorcyclist on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), as reported by CBS News. The accident, which occurred around 12:55 p.m. on Thursday, involved the motorcyclist colliding with two vehicles: a silver van making a left turn and an "older model" pickup truck, both of which fled the scene before the arrival of authorities.
As specified by the LAPD and subsequently covered by KTLA, the sequence of events began when the motorcyclist, heading eastbound on PCH, was cut off by the van turning left, leading to the loss of control and the subsequent collision with the pickup truck; neither driver stayed to render aid to the victim, who was declared dead at the scene.
Currently, the police department is soliciting the public's assistance in identifying and apprehending the culprits involved in this tragic event. They have announced a reward of up to $25,000 for information that leads to the “offender's identification, apprehension, and conviction or resolution through a civil compromise,” as disclosed by CBS News.
