Following that incident, yesterday, SAR teams were once again dispatched, this time to Telephone Canyon, where two hikers were reported lost around 1 p.m., with one struggling to breathe. A responder was hoisted down and, alongside @mcfrnv Fire personnel who had hiked to the location, both hikers were extracted using a hoist. They were carried to safety at the USFS helipad, where one of the hikers, who was undergoing a medical emergency, received immediate transport by ground ambulance for further treatment, as noted on the official Instagram account of the LVMPD Search and Rescue team.
