A mainstay of Lyon Township's dining scene is set to shutter its doors on September 13 after a stretch of ten years serving the community, Draught Horse Brewery & Spirits has announced. The news, delivered via a social media post, marks the end of an era for the locally cherished eatery and watering hole located at 57721 Grand River Ave.
In a heartfelt declaration, the establishment extended "a heartfelt thank you for your loyal patronage and support over the past decade," as relayed by ClickOnDetroit. The owners also made sure to generously acknowledge their personnel, heaping praise on the "amazing staff—without their dedication, hard work, and passion, none of this would have been possible." Despite the closure, beer aficionados can take solace in knowing the location will continue to operate as a restaurant and microbrewery under new ownership, which has agreed to retain any staff members willing to stay on.
The transition isn't going to happen silently. Draught Horse has promised a farewell event planned to honor the legacy of the community's involvement, the details of which are still forthcoming. As parting goodwill, the brewery will honor any 4th quarter promotional certificates from last Christmas's gift card deal. They seek customer patience as they navigate this period with "our smaller staff," as stated in the social media post referenced by Draught Horse Brewery & Spirits.
