
A recent fatal shooting in northeast Las Vegas, which police say stemmed from a domestic argument, resulted in the death of a man and the arrest of his girlfriend's adult son. The incident took place around 10 a.m. yesterday in the 10000 block of Blackburn Avenue, as reported by FOX5 Las Vegas. The altercation, which escalated into gunfire, occurred near the intersection of Hualapai Way and Grand Teton Drive.
Upon arrival at the scene after dispatchers received reports of gunfire, officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police found the victim shot inside a residence. The man, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. And the preliminary investigation suggested that the deadly encounter was the result of a verbal exchange between the victim and the suspected shooter—a man in his mid-20s, as stated by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The suspect, identified as the victim's girlfriend's son, was taken into custody by police. The Metropolitan Police Department has not yet released further details about the suspect’s identity or the specific circumstances leading up to the shooting.
