
In August, Michigan’s online gambling gross receipts reached $312.54 million, up 9.8% from July. iGaming earned $263.27 million, while sports betting increased to $49.27 million, according to the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
The total internet sports betting handle was $338.9 million, up 19.9% from July. Compared to last year, iGaming adjusted gross receipts grew 39.8%, and sports betting adjusted gross receipts increased by $17.9 million, as reported by the Michigan Gaming Control Board.
Michigan collected $53.7 million in taxes and fees from online gambling, with $51.6 million from iGaming and $2.1 million from internet sports betting. Detroit received $13.8 million in wagering taxes and municipal service fees, including $561,471 from sports betting. Tribal operators paid $6.2 million to their governing bodies. There are 15 licensed operators in Michigan, 14 offering iGaming and 11 offering sports betting.
