The City of Frisco has announced multiple roadwork projects that are likely to impact your daily commutes. Among the disruptions is the right lane closure on WB Panther Creek Pkwy. at FM 423, which began September 15 and is expected to continue for two to three weeks, subject to the whims of the Texas weather, as per the City of Frisco.
This is only the tip of the iceberg, though. If you frequently use Speargrass Dr., Rock Creek Ln., or Stallion Ranch Rd., you're looking at an estimated two weeks of construction—again, presuming the weather plays nice. The city's notice advises drivers to plan accordingly, as these pavement replacement projects could lead to delays and detours.
It's not just the pavement that's getting a makeover. Utility projects are also on the itinerary. Specifically, Kings Ridge Rd. is undergoing both pavement replacement and utility work between Castle Dr. & Camelot Dr., with the usual two-week completion estimate dangled before us like a carrot, weather allowing.
While the city hasn't provided details on the nature of the utility work, the combination of pavement and utility projects typically suggests a more extensive disruption to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Residents and commuters within these areas are advised to seek alternative routes or prepare for the added time to their commutes. Keep an eye on environmental factors, such as rains or storms, which could easily extend the projected completion dates.
