A Neenah man has been indicted by a federal grand jury on charges related to the production of child pornography, according to Acting United States Attorney Richard G. Frohling. On Tuesday, Jeffrey J. Haskell, 26, was charged with two counts of allegedly using minors to produce sexually explicit material on January 11 and January 24.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, if convicted, Haskell faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison and up to 30 years, along with fines of up to $250,000 on each count. He would also be required to register as a sex offender. Haskell is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a U.S. Department of Justice initiative launched in May 2006 to combat child exploitation. The initiative coordinates efforts between U.S. Attorneys’ Offices, the Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, and state and local agencies to prosecute offenders and identify victims.
The indictment was enforced by the Neenah Police Department and will be prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel R. Humble.
