Ohio University is proving that an affordable education doesn’t have to skimp on quality or diversity. With its latest census revealing a total headcount of 30,682 students, there's a 3.6 percent increase compared to last year. The surge includes a remarkable 8,195 new students enrolling across undergraduate and graduate programs, as reported by Ohio University News on Wednesday.

Students are flocking from wide and far, with OHIO's student body representing all 88 Ohio counties, every state in the U.S., D.C., Guam, Puerto Rico, and coming from over 100 countries worldwide. While nearly 250 new students are training at OHIO’s Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine, nearly 1,500 new students have decided to pursue graduate degrees. With the increase hailing from a record incoming freshman class to retention spikes on Athens and regional campuses, it seems that OHIO has become a magnet for both locals and internationals alike.

OHIO President Lori Stewart Gonzalez remarked on this trend, “What we’re seeing is that students and families are connecting to the commitment we have to ensuring every student not only graduates but graduates with a portfolio of experiences that set them up for success.” A highlight in the school's achievement is the continuous growth across the OHIO Online portfolio, which caters to students seeking flexible learning environments.

Praised as Ohio’s Best Value public university, OHIO attributes its enrollment success to "delivering incredible career outcomes for students." According to the sentiment captured by Ohio University News, this unique combination of value, experience, and outcomes is what drives enrollments. It's the experiences that are setting OHIO apart, equipping students with the resources they need to transform education into meaningful careers.
