Orlando residents and visitors can expect near-normal temperatures and a relatively dry weekend ahead, according to the latest weather forecasts. The National Weather Service Melbourne FL has issued an Area Forecast Discussion, alerting beachgoers to the presence of a moderate risk of rip currents at all Atlantic beaches. The advice is clear: always swim near a lifeguard.

For today into next week, a persistent pattern of isolated to scattered showers and storms is anticipated, with the likelihood of rain more focused on areas south of Orlando. "Due to this drier air, rain chances have come down from the previous shifts," informs the National Weather Service, with expected precipitation probabilities varying from 20-40 percent around Titusville southward to 10 percent or less from the greater Orlando area to New Smyrna Beach north and west.

Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s along the coast and upper 80s to low 90s inland, with overnight lows hovering in the low to mid 70s. Global models are showing convergence in terms of moisture levels, with a drier trend over East Central Florida leading to decreased rain chances compared to previous forecasts.

According to the same forecast, boating conditions are looking favorable through to next week, with northeast winds gradually shifting easterly. While a boundary will reestablish itself near the local waters, winds are expected to decrease slightly early next week. Mariners should anticipate seas between 3-5 feet and be on the lookout for isolated to scattered showers and isolated storms each day over the Atlantic waters.

In terms of aviation, VFR conditions are set to continue, but there may be brief MVFR conditions where showers impact parts of the area, especially from TIX/MLB southward. Lightning storms remain a possibility, mainly after 18Z for MLB/VRB southward, capable of producing occasional lightning strikes and gusty winds.
