Over the weekend, a two-vehicle rollover crash occurred in the Town of Belgium in Ozaukee County. According to a Facebook post from the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 9:26 a.m. last Saturday, a blue GMC Sierra collided with a gray Dodge Ram at the intersection of Jay Road and Six Mile Road after the GMC failed to stop at a stop sign.
The Dodge Ram rolled over several times and struck a garage, while the GMC Sierra collided with an unoccupied parked vehicle at the same residence.
Authorities reported that the GMC Sierra was driven by a 45-year-old man from Fredonia with a 63-year-old passenger from Random Lake. The Dodge Ram carried a 66-year-old man and a 64-year-old passenger, both from Belgium. All four were transported to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton with non-life-threatening injuries. Although Flight for Life was on scene, patients were transported by ground vehicles.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office stated that the driver of the GMC was issued a citation for failure to stop at a stop sign. Multiple emergency agencies, including the Belgium, Fredonia, Random Lake, Port Washington, and Waubeka Fire Departments, along with Ozaukee County Emergency Management, responded to the scene.
