The Pasadena Tournament of Roses has officially picked its 2026 Rose Court, marking a significant day in the city as seven young women were prepared to serve as cultural ambassadors for one of the area's most traditional events. According to FOX LA, the court comprises students with remarkable academic records and leadership skills, chosen from a pool of 28 finalists. Each member of the Rose Court will receive a $7,500 academic scholarship to further their education.
As detailed by KTLA, the 2026 Rose Court includes a diverse group of students hailing from various high schools and colleges, like Naira Elaine Wadley of John Muir High School and Olivia Hargrove, a sophomore at Pasadena City College. Their appointments carry a legacy of over a century, with the Tournament of Roses deeply rooted in the community's historical tapestry.
CBS Los Angeles stated that come January 1, they will be central figures in the 137th Rose Parade, showcasing the heritage of Pasadena to viewers both local and beyond. The Rose Court also has the special privilege of attending the 112th Rose Bowl Game, a college football playoff quarterfinal.
