
The Philadelphia Police Department's Northwest Detective Division is actively seeking to identify a suspect involved in a recent shooting incident in the 35th District. The episode unfolded on the afternoon of September 17, when, at approximately 3:30 pm, a black male was seen firing at an occupied vehicle near 276 Sheldon St. This confrontation was recorded by local surveillance, capturing a tense exchange between the individual and the occupants of a white vehicle, before the situation escalated to gunfire.
According to the Philadelphia Police Department's report, the assailant, immediately after shooting, fled the scene by running southbound on 3rd St and then turned eastbound on Lindley Ave. The targeted vehicle managed to escape the area. Descriptions provided by authorities list the perpetrator as a slim-built black male with long braids, wearing a black hooded jacket, dark pants, and white sneakers. These details have been disseminated in hopes that community members can aid in the suspect's apprehension.
No injuries have been reported in relation to this shooting, and the motivation behind the incident remains unclear. Detectives are urging anyone who has information about the identity or whereabouts of the suspect to come forward.
