A teenage student is now facing adult charges after a stabbing incident that left three others injured at Carrick High School in Pittsburgh. The suspect, identified as 16-year-old Anthony Taulton, is being charged with three counts of aggravated assault along with possession of instruments of crime and possession of a weapon on school property, WPXI reported.

Police sources identified Taulton as the suspect in the stabbing, and it is alleged that the confrontation began with a square off between him and one of the victims before it escalated into the violent altercation. The other two students sustained injuries after becoming involved in the fight that ensued, according to the same report. Taulton allegedly brought the knife from home, concealing it in a hat within his book bag, which was not detected by security as he entered the school grounds.

On the morning of the incident, the school was placed on lockdown as police managed the scene. One of the students was last reported in critical condition, having sustained a stab wound to the abdomen and was taken to the Children's Hospital, while another was treated for a wound to his forearm and abdomen at Mercy Hospital. The third student received a minor cut to his finger and was treated on-site, as WTAE disclosed.
