In a move poised to modernize the Town of Rolesville's development process, the local Planning Department has introduced a new digital tool for its citizens as of Monday; the software is named GovWell and was designed to revamp the way development applications are submitted and reviewed, as reported on the Town of Rolesville's official website. Applicants can now take advantage of its features including the online submission of project proposals, document uploading, tracking progress, responding to comments, and making payments - signaling a step towards greater efficiency and convenience in local governance.
Although the tried-and-true first-of-the-month submittal dates for applications remain steady, with an adjustment for weekends when deadlines will shift to the first Monday, the new software importantly sidelines previous individual application hyperlinks, opting instead to funnel applicants to the dedicated GovWell portal for all their submission needs—this overhaul aims to streamline services, and keep everyone in the loop.
However, it's crucial to note that GovWell isn't a catch-all solution for all town-related processes; it specifically excludes requests related to building permits that align with the NC Building Code, a limitation that's integral for users to acknowledge to avoid any bureaucratic snags.
This adoption of GovWell represents a cornerstone in the Town of Rolesville's efforts to foster a more efficient, accessible, and transparent development process, it empowers applicants through a singular, user-friendly online interface while marching in step with an ever-increasing preference for digital services in municipal operations.
