A 31-year-old man working at a licensed residential treatment facility for minors has been arrested on multiple felony charges after accusations of engaging in unlawful conduct with juvenile residents under his care. Antoine Christopher Sims, an employee at a San Jacinto-based facility, was taken into custody on September 18th, officials said Thursday.
The investigation, which began in September 2024, involved officials piecing together allegations of inappropriate contact. Detectives were able to identify several victims and revealed a pattern of predatory behavior that included grooming, inappropriate communication, and lewd acts with a child. Sims was apprehended without incident near the intersection of Sycamore Canyon Lane and Bachelor Peak Street in Winchester, as per the Riverside Sheriff’s report.
Charges against Sims cover disturbing acts, including lewd acts with a child and oral copulation with a minor under the age of 16. Following his arrest, he was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility. Due to the delicate situation involving juvenile victims, authorities have decided not to release any further details about the case.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office has urged the public to come forward with any potentially related information, believing there may be additional victims not yet identified. Individuals with relevant information are encouraged to contact Investigator D. Hollingsworth at the San Jacinto Station or the Riverside Sheriff’s Dispatch. The contact details can be found on the official Riverside Sheriff’s Office website. The case remains active and ongoing, the authorities stressed in their recent report.
